Fairy Camp Birthday Party

As many of you know, Brooklyn is crazy about the Disney Fairies. This last week for her birthday we had 9 of her little friends over for "Fairy Camp." These are her invitations, which her party planner she hired--Aunt Michelle--tried to help her have a party as "cool" as cousin Luke's. NO PRESSURE--JUST KIDDING--TONS OF PRESSURE! These really did turn out so cute, all the little girls just squealed with excitement when she dropped them off.

When the girls arrived the "Fairy Council" invited them to our Fairy Salon to get their hair done fancy and faces painted.

The girls did a craft for each of the fairy talents and when on a treasure hunt. Brooklyn loved being with her friends.
Matt made the most delicious ice cream cake, it was kind of mean that we didn't save him a piece. I am really happy with how the cake turned out, I am not the best cake decorator but it was pretty cute.

Special thanks to our "Fairy Council" and party planner. I truly couldn't have pulled this off without you. I love my sisters, thank you for making a wonderful memory for Brooklyn. She and her friends cannot stop talking about it. There were a few that still had their hair done and faces painted the next day and many more that cried to when baths came that night. It really was my little fairy's dream come true!

Here is picture of Sydney on her first day of Preschool. She has a wonderful preschool teacher out in Syracuse. We love Miss Amber.

Brooklyn's First Day of School

Surprise! I am finally posting again, even I had begun to wonder if I would ever get around to it again. However, the new changes for Brooklyn this month we are so excited to share.

Brooklyn started Kindergarden this month. She is so excited and already lots of friends in her class and is quickly making more. She loves her teacher, new clothes--thank you grandma and grandpa-- and backpack.

I am glad she is excited for school, but I find myself being a little bit sad. Brooklyn is getting to be so big and I really don't know how it happened so fast for our little baby girl to be a school girl. I am excited for the things that she will learn and the new challenges ahead for her. I know she will do great!

Brooklyn Update

Tonight, I just wanted to send out a huge thank you for every one's love and concern for our Brooklyn today. Her surgery went very well, the doctor was pleased and she was actually able to be home most of the day today to recover here. We feel so blessed for all of the prayers, phone calls and service offered for her today. I think that in the hurried moments of today, I didn't express my appreciation adequately or in some cases I am sure at all. Please know that we love you all and know that what you do, is noticed and very appreciated. Tonight as Matt and I tuck our little girls in bed, we do know that we are so lucky. Thank you for being "the village" that helps us raise and love them.

Brooklyn's-- Disney Favorites

Brooklyn's favorite part of the trip and what I will always remember is how she loved meeting the Princess's. She tells me now that we are home all the time how she misses them. We saw them everyday (yes, I was in the princess line everyday). She loved that all the disney workers would call her princess everywhere we would go. These pictures are from the Halloween party where she got to wear her princess gown and crown to look like her favorite princess--Sleeping Beauty. Thank you mom (my mom made the costumes--I thought my girls where the prettiest ones there), she looked perfect.

Brooklyn loved the trip, she loved riding. Her favorite was the new Toy Story Mania ride, for those of you who havn't been it is kind of like a series of carnival games, you have a gun and they keep score like a video game. Oh how she loved it! Runner up would have to be Splash Mountain, we rode three times in a row the night of the Halloween Party, and she still didn't want to get off.

Brooklyn loved going to dinner at Cinderella's castle, at her Princess Birthday party she told all the other neighborhood girls about it. When we got home she told me one morning that she wanted to go back and live at the hotel because "you don't have to do jobs there, they make you whatever you want for breakfast and they have a swimming pool with a slide." Smart Girl.

Disney Trip--Sydney's Favorites

Sydney loved traveling in the airport trying on her new gear, especially her rolling backpack.

Sydney's favorite things about Disney World are:

Meeting characters, she loved hugging and talking with everyone and getting there autograph. She was especially excited to see Daisy which we did a few times. This is a picture of the first time, she was so cute. She just kept saying "Daisy, it's ME!"

Snow white gave her a kiss, this is one of my favorite pictures from the whole trip.

Sydney really learned to like riding the rides, especially Dumbo and Tea Cups--just like her mom when she was little. But for the first few days, she really got excited about the buses and boats to and from the hotel and "It's a Small World."

Trick or Treating--they gave out LOTS of Chocolate--Heaven for Syd--Here she is in her costume, clearly she had not gotten the chocolate yet.

Our Disney Vacation

In October, we went to Walt Disney World in Orlando to celebrate Matt's Graduation with Matt's entire family. We had such a wonderful time. As I think back over the week it is so hard to know what to post, we have all seen that my posting time is limited. We loved being together, and Brooklyn and Sydney loved every minute of it. Disney World has always been one of my favorite places and holds awesome memories of trips with my family growing up, and certainly great memories from our Honeymoon, but there was something so magically exciting about watching my girls discover "The Happiest Place on Earth" for the first time. Thank you Marcie, Trav, Zane and Mom and Dad for an unforgettable week. Here are some of my favorite pics.
